MARVEL TO MAKE CHEAPER FILMS WITH THEIR LESS POPULAR HEROES
Although Marvel Studios are preparing for us a number of expensive comic book adaptations like "Thor", "Captain America: The First Avenger" and "The Avengers", according to "CHUD" they are also planning to make films with modest budgets, from $20 million to $40 million. Such movies would follow some of the less popular Marvel's characters such as Doctor Strange, Ka-Zar, Luke Cage, Dazzler and Power Pack. This would apparently give Marvel much more flexibility, since such movies with the budget of 20-40 million could bring them money if made right. And at a lower budget these movies don't need to be quite so mainstream. A 20 million dollar film can take much bigger risks than one that costs a hundred million more than that, as seen currently with "Kick-Ass".
