WHAT WAS HIDDING IN 2010 OSCAR GOODY BAGS

It's not always that bad being a looser. You all know how at most of the award ceremonies, celebrities go home with gift baskets, and this year's Oscar goody bag was the most expensive in Oscars history valued at stunning $85,000.
The nominees for this year’s Academy Awards were offered some really lavish presents which included tickets to an all-inclusive fitness boot camp and the £30,000 African safari for 16 people, trips to Monte Carlo and a private island in the Turks and Caicos in the Caribbean, a Tiffany crystal-studded feline collar, gourmet artisan chocolates, $4,000 limited edition luxury leather travel bags ... Not just at the Oscars, but also at most other award ceremonies, stars are usually invited to "gifting suites" set up in hotels before the event, where they can take their pick from dozens of luxury items in return for posing for a photograph to help promote the product. Sponsors of the ceremonies and shows often display amazingly expensive items for celebs to handpick and then go home with new bling-bling, cosmetics, hi-tech gadgets, spa and travel vouchers ... Not to mention that all those dresses, shoes and breathtaking jewelry you see at the red carpet aren't paid for. Not only that actresses do not have to pay for Versaci, Chanel, Elie Saab gowns which help them get transformed from ordinary ladies to shinny divas, but they usually get money to wear dresses from certain designers.
So as you can see the consolation prizes for nominees who fail to win a gold statuette are sometimes much more valuable than the award itself. I would gladly be a loser if someone would ease my pain of losing in that way :)
