Ah, that Sam Worthington still continues scoring only huge sf and adventure roles. According to "Heat Vision" he will take the lead role and produce DreamWorks' "Quatermain". This sci-fi adventure will give a new, futuristic look on the famous literary hero. As you know, Allan Quatermain was the hero of "King's Solomon's Mines" a Victorian adventure novel by H. Rider Haggard, and its sequel "Allan Quatermain".
He was an adventurer who lead an expedition into an unexplored region of Africa to find fabled treasure of the lost mines. Richard Chamberlaine gave probably the most famous cinematic portrayal of the character. But the new sf version with Sam Worthington will be set in a time in which humans have left Earth and Quatermain will return to the planet from a sojourn in space, embarking on another "King Solomon's Mines"-style adventure but on a planet wide scale.
