MY, OH, MY - TRACI LORDS AND ANTONIO SABATO JR. IN "PRINCESS OF MARS"!!!
Oh, here's an interesting sf project :) Since Disney is preparing it's big budgeted and star packed adaptation of Edgar Rice Burroughs' famous novel "John Carter of Mars", ASYLUM ENTERTAINMENT has decided to make their own low-budget version, "Princess of Mars", starring two of the biggest sex symbols of the early 90's - Antonio Sabato Jr. and, believe it or not, Traci Lords. As if that's not enough, here's another charming moment: since James Cameron has once named Burroughs as an influence, the trailer for "Princess of Mars" brags that the movie is "the inspiration for James Cameron's Avatar!" :))
You can, and most certainly MUST, see the trailer for this movie over at my official YouTube channel and check it out yourself. It goes straight to DVD, and is out December 29, 2009. And it actually doesn't look that bad for a low-budget sf movie, I think I'll reserve it for a nice relaxing Sunday afternoon homecinema.
In case you don't know, it follows a US soldier who finds himself inexplicably transported to Mars in the midst of a war between two alien races.
